Come meet the new girls

This is 'Sun-dew' she is about 6 weeks old and is a double laced Barnevelder and while not looking very pretty yet, she will be quite beautiful and lay big chocolate brown coloured eggs...(how good would that be chocolate eggs!)

This is 'Blossom' she is a curly frizzle - ridiculous and very cute. I believe that she would be a highly undesirable show bird...her wings are like skeleton fingers, I doubt she could fly. My beloved, when I sent him a snapshot from my phone, asked "what does she grow up to be, a magistrate's wig?"

And this is 'Bluebell' she is a Welsummer ... she will be very pretty, she is only 8 weeks old and is not at her best yet.

We love them already.

Ah, they are lovely! I laughed out loud to the magistrate's wig line. We have a Barnevelder and a Welsummer also, "Velda" and "Summer" hmmm, could have done that a bit better! They are getting close to laying and I'm beside myself with excitement. Hope your ladies are settling in nicely.

We had Frizzle chickens! I love them, they are so cute and ours were the nicest little ladies of the bunch. They make great mamas as well.

I send kisses to your cute chickies! My little Mr. was telling me the other night about how chickens were so soft and liked to be cuddled. Then he asked if we could get some. I told him that the cat was soft and liked to be held. Sadly, however, the cat will never lay eggs.

Now I want a Frizzle. For the curls. For the name alone. Chickens are such a delight. Your girls are beautiful!
