He was so insightful and truthful, generous and funny.
My heart is breaking; the pain and sadness in his sudden death is echoing; I cannot find the words to comfort, so we are silent, remembering, wishing; trying to rewrite today's script.
He died this morning while rowing on Lake Burley Griffin, the man made lake in our nation's captial city, Canberra. A massive heart attack ~ gone.
Dear Bob, the glow of your friendship has lit our world, thank you ~

Oh Shan, I'm so sorry to hear this. I was just thinking this morning how the death of loved ones not only leaves us feeling empty in the void that was their presence but also has us contemplating our own mortality and what the end may mean.
Peace, Love and light my friend.

I too am thinking of you.
Perhaps going suddenly doing what you enjoy is a good way to go but it's so hard for those left behind.

For what it's worth. Written for a woman in my community dealing with her own personal tragedy. Not equivalent, but I hope that it might offer something to you in your sadness.
