Pretty yes? It was a sarong which a bazillion summers ago my mum turned into a wrap skirt (I am somewhat rounder than a bazillion summers ago and it didn't fit; quite a bit too much leg showing these days) I have now refashioned it into a light and breezy summery shirt.
I based it on the pattern for the Prairie Blouse in Anna Maria Horner's book; Seams to Me 24 New reasons to Love Sewing and I love it!
I love the little girl wearing it too; so here are a few more pictures from all sorts of angles of my somewhat reluctant model wearing her new favourite shirt.

Aaaack! GORGEOUS!!!!! I love, love, love the blouse. You should be feeling ALOT clever. I mean, making beautiful clothing for your stunning daughter, and then capturing it all so well on the camera. Wow!
Oh, is that ever pretty! I would feel pretty smug myself, had I made that!
Hi Shannon, beautiful blouse, beautiful daughter! Well done : )
That is so cool....recycling and reusing at its best. Beautiful dress and beautiful model xoxox Jo
I'm a bit old and ill-fitting too - can you re-fashion me into something new?!! xox
You are clever!
I sent your pincushion yesterday :)
Shucks! you are all so lovely... I should self indulge more regularly, tis good for the soul.
Completely gorgeous & I love the upcycling. This is a definite inspiration piece for me. Your daughter is so beautiful.
Lovely. I want one. And Jason, aren't you supposed to buy a sports car or something to refashion yourself at your age? XX
It is truly gorgeous, and you have solved my dilemma with a much loved Country Road sarong which I never wear but would love too - thanks for the inspiration :)
